The Foundation Women in Europe, with seat in Frankfurt/Main, pursues the mission of fostering research on the position of women in the development of civil society during the process of European enlargement.
The Foundation Women in Europe, supports scholarly and cultural projects with an international comparative approach, projects which at the same time take a critical perspective on the cultural and gender policy aspects concerning women in Europe.
The foundation's objective is realised in particular through (co-)financing and organising symposia, colloquia and other events, and by financially supporting research projects and scholarships.
Women in Europe is an operative foundation, therefore decides the areas of its occupation independently and does not put out calls for tenders.
